This is the begainning of my first HO railroad. We are having our one car garage finsihed to make a train room. The railroad will be 18’ x 7 1/2’  and is based on John Armstrong’s “Cajon Pass, Salt Lake & Santa Fe RR” as shown in Model Railroader’s 101 Track Plans. I have been fasanated with this plan for over forty years. I will name mine the “Southern Pacific - Santa Fe” after the failed merger. The time period will 1940 and forward which means I will run steam and modern diesels.
