This tractor has not run since 1992. It was purchased new by my grandfather Borchert in 1938. He used it to cultivate
his orange groves in Anaheim, California. The oil and oil filter have been changed. The magneto and carburetor have been
rebuilt. It runs very rough. Next step is to pull the head and regrind the valves. Will also install an electric
starter

| 1938 AC M (GRANDPA) in the shop for repairs |
The head has been taken to the Kings Mountain NAPA shop to have the valves reground. It was discovered that
the valves were too thin to regrind, so new valves must be found. I ordered a gasket set from Norm Meinert. He mentioned that
the tube that runs from carburetor through the exhaust manifold to the intake manifold sometimes has holes rusted in it. Sure
enough when I checked mine it has holes in it, which I could not see if I was not looking for them. Ordered a new stainless
steel tube from Norm.
